Being an internet junkie and running nothing but internet businesses I certainly recognize the changes in ‘customer contacts’ what with the ‘new’ social networks popping up all over the place.
Actually, large part of my morning, 7 days a week (!) is going through a number of forums, Facebook, blogs and other places just to scan on our company name, my own name and some product names, to see what customers (and would-be customers) are writing. And reply to soe of them, of course.
One of the major problems with that however is STILL that the ones writing are a relatively small but vocal cross section of the customer base. I see the same names in many places all the time, while we sell a LOT more products.
So how do we either
a) get those others to become PC and/or network savvy
b) reach them in another way
The Internet is my love, but still not the answer to everything…. alas!
